ENERGY & INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

Helping BC businesses evaluate and develop energy and electrification projects: project assessment, energy strategy, electrification and infrastructure coordination.

What we do

Practical support across the full project path.

MOTIRATECH HOLDING INC. works with commercial and industrial businesses in British Columbia on the technical and coordination work behind an energy or electrification project.

Energy Project Assessment

Review the current state of a facility or project: load profile, energy costs, site constraints and the practical options available.

Industrial Electrification

Evaluate fuel-switching and electrification scope for industrial processes, heat, equipment and fleets.

Energy Efficiency

Identify efficiency and energy-management measures across production, HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration and lighting systems.

BESS / Energy Storage

Assess battery energy storage for peak demand, load management, resilience and electrification support.

Industrial Infrastructure

Coordinate electrical, mechanical and site infrastructure required by an energy or electrification project.

Grid / Interconnection Coordination

Organise the technical information a utility connection or interconnection study process requires.

Feasibility & Project Development

Move a concept toward a defined scope, cost basis and execution plan.

Incentive & Program Research

Research which published utility and government programs may relate to a project, without representing any eligibility decision.

Commercial & Industrial Support

Support owners and operators through the technical, scheduling and coordination work a project requires.

Scope examples

The kind of work we take on

Illustrative engagement scopes by sector — the situation, the work involved and what the business ends up holding.

Food and beverage processing

A plant facing rising demand charges and refrigeration load growth.

Work: Interval-data and tariff review, refrigeration and compressed-air systems walkthrough, measure list with effort and disruption ranked.

Output: A prioritised measure list and the data package needed before any efficiency application is considered.

Manufacturing

A process heat line considering a move from fuel combustion to electric equipment.

Work: Fuel-switching scope definition, electrical capacity check, phasing options and the site infrastructure each option would require.

Output: An electrification options comparison with constraints, dependencies and open questions stated explicitly.

Cold storage / logistics

A site with peak demand spikes and limited service capacity.

Work: Load-profile analysis, peak-shaving and load-management review, indicative battery storage sizing scenarios.

Output: A BESS feasibility basis: sizing scenarios, siting constraints and the further study each scenario needs.

Mining / heavy industry

A new or expanding operation with a significant new electrical load.

Work: Load basis assembly, site and voltage assessment, preparation of the technical information a connection review expects.

Output: An organised connection information package for submission by the customer to the utility.

Commercial real estate

A portfolio owner with no consistent view of energy cost across buildings.

Work: Billing and tariff normalisation across sites, benchmarking on the portfolio's own data, candidate project screening.

Output: A ranked project pipeline with the information gaps identified per site.

Agriculture / greenhouse

An operation planning expansion with electrification and storage in scope.

Work: Combined load growth, electrification and storage scenario review against site and service constraints.

Output: A staged development plan with the decision points and studies required at each stage.

The examples below are illustrative engagement scopes, written to show the type of work MOTIRATECH HOLDING INC. takes on. They are not client case studies, do not describe completed projects, and do not represent guaranteed results, savings, incentive eligibility or approval outcomes.

Project assessment process

How a project assessment runs, step by step.

Every engagement starts with the facts of the site. Each step states what we need from the business and what the business receives in return.

  1. 01

    Project inquiry and intake

What we need: The inquiry form: company, location, industry, project type, facility and a description of the situation.

What you get: An internal review of the inquiry and an email reply confirming whether the scope is something we can support.

  2. 02

    Information gathering

What we need: Energy bills and interval data where available, single-line diagrams, site plans, equipment lists and any existing studies.

What you get: A shared list of what exists, what is missing and what must be obtained before options can be assessed.

  3. 03

    Technical review

What we need: Load profile, tariff structure, site and service constraints, process requirements and the operating pattern behind the load.

What you get: A written basis of the current situation, stated as facts and assumptions, with uncertainties marked as uncertain.

  4. 04

    Options and scope definition

What we need: The business objective, budget envelope, disruption tolerance and schedule constraints.

What you get: Technically credible options with their constraints, dependencies, indicative effort and the further study each would require.

  5. 05

    Program research

What we need: The defined scope, matched against published utility and government program documentation.

What you get: A list of published programs that may relate to the scope, with links to official sources. Eligibility and funding are decided solely by the program operator.

  6. 06

    Development support

What we need: The selected option and the decision the business needs to make next.

What you get: Feasibility work, engineering and supplier coordination, connection information preparation and execution planning.
